Author Biography - Stephen Addiss
Stephen Addiss, Tucker-Boatwright Professor at the University of Richmond, Virginia, is a world-renowned calligrapher, teacher, and art historian. He has authored 20 books including "The Art of Zen: Painting and Calligraphy by Zen Monks 1600-1925." His highly expressive calligraphy has appeared in exhibitions worldwide; he is the only non-Asian to be included in John Steven's "Sacred Calligraphy of the East." He is the curator of an upcoming national exhibit on Chinese Calligraphy.
