Clinical Introduction to Lacanian Psychoanalysis by Bruce Fink
Book DescriptionThis is an introduction to Jacques Lacan's approach to therapy, from the point of view of a practitioner faced with the question of diagnosis. How it is done and how it differs from other forms of therapy is examined, and many of his theoretical notions are explored. At each point of the treatment the analyst's aims and interventions are explained, and four case studies are used to illustrate Lacan's structural approach to diagnosis. These cases take up both theoretical and clinical issues in Lacan's views of psychosis, perversion, and neurosis, and highlight the very different approaches to treatment that different situations demand.

Lacan on Love: An Exploration of Lacan's Seminar VIII, Transference, Paperback (December 2015)
Quintessentially fascinating, love intrigues and perplexes us, and drives much of what we do in life. As wary as we may be of its illusions and disappointments, many of us fall blindly into its traps and become ensnared time and again.
On the Names-of-the-Father, Paperback (September 2015)
What astonishing success the Name-of-the-Father has had! Everyone finds something in it. Who one's father is isn't immediately obvious, hardly being visible to the naked eye. Paternity is first and foremost determined by one's culture. As Lacan said, "The Name-of-the-Father creates the function of the father.
Triumph of Religion, Paperback (September 2015)View all books by Bruce Fink
"I am the product of priests", Lacan once said of himself. Educated by the Marist Brothers (or Little Brothers of Mary), he was a pious child and acquired considerable, personal knowledge of the torments and cunning of Christian spirituality. He was wonderfully able to speak to Catholics and to bring them around to psychoanalysis.
