Derrida: A Very Short Introduction, Paperback (September 2011)
Simon Glendinning explores Jacque Derrida's work, from his engagement with the history of metaphysics to his views on law and justice and ethics and politics. Confronting and refuting claims that Derrida was an irresponsible 'postmodernist' or 'nihilist' he instead reveals Derrida's significant contributions to philosophy.
Derrida's Legacies, Hardback (January 2008)
A collection of essays which reflect on the multiple ways in which Derrida's work has marked intellectual culture in general and the literary and philosophical culture of Britain and America in particular. It offers an interdisciplinary view, investigating areas such as deconstruction, ethics, time, irony, technology, location and truth.
Idea of Continental Philosophy, Paperback (June 2006)
Simon Glendinning provides a clear picture of the current state of the contemporary philosophical culture by tracing the origins and development of the idea of a 'distinctive' Continental tradition.

The attempt to pursue philosophy in the name of phenomenology is one of the developments in twentieth century thought. Through an evaluation of development of phenomenology, this book traces the ruptures and dislocations of philosophy that, in an age dominated by science, strive to renew our understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.
