Book DescriptionThis sumptuous volume presents more than 80 full-colour reproductions of some of the most highly prized French manuscript illuminations in the world. This outstanding volume is the perfect introduction to an exquisite art form that flourished for centuries before the advent of the printing press, but that is now making a comeback in the world of bespoke art and design. The full-colour reproductions of these masterpiece works range from a Bible made during the ninth century, to an exquisite book of prayers written and illuminated by the French master Jean Pierre Rousselet c.1720.
