Books By Author Richard Yates
Special Providence, Paperback / softback (March 2009)
Yates's second novel follows a young man, Robert Prentice, and his mother Alice, a sculptor. With haunting clarity, Yates crafts an unforgettable portrait of two people who cannot help but hope for more even as life challenges them both.
'Revolutionary Road', 'The Easter Parade', 'Eleven Kinds of Loneliness', Hardback (February 2009)
Written by the author who whether addressing the smothered desire of suburban housewives, the white-collar despair of Manhattan office workers or the heartbreak of a single mother with artistic pretensions, ruthlessly examines the hopes and disappointments of ordinary people with empathy and humour.
Revolutionary Road, Paperback (January 2009)
Presents the story of Frank and April Wheeler, a bright, beautiful, and talented couple whose empty suburban life is held together by the dream that greatness is only just round the corner. This title shows how Frank and April mortgage their hopes and ideals, betraying in the end not only each other, but their own best selves.
