Book Review: I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith - Reviewed by Romi Foster (15 Jul 2011)
I capture the castle is a book written in journal form, by a young girl wittnesing life in a most extrodaniary way. The family is poor and Cassandra and her sister Rose are willing something to happen, anything really, and when the heirs to an old estate come to the village they thank the heavens. But do these American's have more to them than just looks and money? Slowly the whole family starts making ties with the new family that have arrived, and some ties are much harder to pick out, some ties run much, much deeper than anyone could have guessed.
I capture the castle is one of the best books ever written!
