Books By Author Steve Winder
Power Supplies for LED Driving, Paperback (April 2008)
Light-emitting diodes are widely used due to their efficient use of power. This book covers the design trade-offs involved in LED driving applications, from low-power to UB-LEDs and beyond. It provides a practical, "hands-on" approach to power supply design for LED drivers. It includes examples of what works and why, throughout the design process.
Operational Amplifiers, Paperback (March 2003)
Contains topics such as: bipolar, JFET and MOSFET transistors; voltage regulators; dielectric absorption on integrator, differentiator and S&H circuits; and as well as FDNR and Gyrator filters.
Analog and Digital Filter Design, Paperback (October 2002)
Provides a practical design guide to design effective and working electronic filters. This book contains questions at the end of each chapter and includes electronic simulation tools. It also presents background information and equations, and keeps heavy mathematics to a minimum.

Author Biography - Steve Winder
Steve Winder specializes in designing circuits for telecommunications applications, but has experience in a number of fields. As the current European Applications Engineer for Supertex Inc. Steve works alongside design engineers throughout Europe to design circuits using components made by Supertex, a U.S. based manufacturer of high voltage MOSFETs, CMOS integrated circuits and ASICs. Prior to joining Supertex, Steve was for many years a team leader for a group of analogue and digital design engineers at British Telecom's research and development laboratories, now known as Adastral Park, based near Ipswich, UK. Here, Steve applied his analytical skills to many technical areas but specialized in wideband analogue and digital transmission systems using copper pairs and optical fibre. In this role, Steve's strength was in radio frequency design, low-power design, low-noise design and systems engineering. Mike Tooley is a technical author and consultant. He was formerly Vice Principal at Brooklands College in Surrey, England, where he was responsible for the delivery of learning to over 10,000 Further and Higher Education students increasingly by flexible, open and on-line distance learning. Mike is the well-known author of several popular engineering and related text books, including widely adopted course texts for BTEC, GCE A-level and GCSE qualifications in Engineering. Mike's hobbies include astronomy, amateur radio, aviation, computing and electronic circuit design and construction.
