Sugirtharajah is a Reader in Biblical Hermeneutics at the University of Birmingham.His publications include The Bible and the Third World: Precolonial, Colonial and Postcolonial Encounters, The Postcolonial Bible, Asian Biblical Hermeneutics and Postcolonialism, and is general editor of The Bible and Postcolonialism series (Sheffield Academic Press).
