Quantization Noise by Bernard Widrow

Book Description

If you are working in digital signal processing, control or numerical analysis, you will find this authoritative analysis of quantization noise (roundoff error) invaluable. Do you know where the theory of quantization noise comes from, and under what circumstances it is true? Get answers to these and other important practical questions from expert authors, including the founder of the field and formulator of the theory of quantization noise, Bernard Widrow. The authors describe and analyze uniform quantization, floating-point quantization, and their applications in detail. Key features include: * Analysis of floating point round off * Dither techniques and implementation issues analyzed * Offers heuristic explanations along with rigorous proofs, making it easy to understand 'why' before the mathematical proof is given.

Adaptive Inverse Control by Bernard Widrow Adaptive Inverse Control, Hardback (November 2007)

The book blends the areas of adaptive inverse control and signal processing in ways not presented in any other book, allowing engineers in both fields to share tools and techniques. Clearly and intuitively written, the book presents theory, but its emphasis is on practical applications and common sense understanding.

Least-Mean-Square Adaptive Filters by Bernard Widrow Least-Mean-Square Adaptive Filters, Hardback (September 2003)

From elininating outside interference to separate data stream traveling together, filters are used for a range of applications in communications. The Least Mean Square (LMS) filter has established itself as the workhorse for the design of linear adaptive systems. This book deals with this topic.
