Raghu Rai's India by Raghu Rai
Book DescriptionRaghu Rai's "India" is the India of the everyday - the life of his rural childhood. His photographs talk about the simple people, the village people, the rituals and routines that make up the rhythm of their days, their spiritual fervour, their dignity and sense of colour and self-adornment, as well as the earthy beauty of their humble homes and the unconscious artistry of their agricultural labour. For the past 18 years Rai has specialized in extensive coverage of India.
