Singing for Mrs Pettigrew is a truly amazing book full of amazing stories from one of the worlds most loves children's authors. The stories are all amazing and very different from each other, all full of Morpurog's classic writing style, which will make you think over each story seperately and see them all in a different light each time you read them. Between each story Morpurgo writes in first person, explaining his life at the writing time, how the storys are linked to what he was doing and why he wrote them. It is a book for keeps and for passing through generation to generation over the years.
Author Biography - Michael Morpurgo
Michael Morpurgo has an unparalleled reputation as a children's storyteller. He is the author of I Believe in Unicorns (9781406302042), Beowulf (9781844287543) and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (9781844287307), both illustrated by Michael Foreman, and also Private Peaceful, winner of the 2004 Red House Children's Book Award, as well as numerous other prize-winners. He lives in Devon.
