StudyOn Legal Studies by Farrar
YEAR 11 Studyon Legal Studies 1 is designed to engage and instruct all Legal Studies students. Accessible language, photographs, diagrams and running summaries assist and guide a range of different learners. The text comprehensively covers all knowledge and skills outcomes prescribed by the study design. Extensive use of case studies, all accompanied by assessment tasks, link legal theory and practice. A real-life murder case-study is provided. It includes: * Murder investigation and forensic evidence * The trial, including transcripts from witnesses who gave evidence * The post-trial, including extracts from the judge's sentencing report. A real negligence case is also used to illustrate pre-trial, trial and post-trial procedures. As with all studyon titles, the Legal Studies 1 text provides an in-built study guide. Special running summaries help students revise the key knowledge as they go, and regular revision questions and a variety of different assessment tasks check and extend student understanding in line with VCE outcomes. The text is supported by the studyon Legal Studies website that keeps students up to date with the latest legal issues as they occur.
