Subsurface Hydrology by George F. Pinder
Book DescriptionWith an emphasis on methodology, this reference provides a comprehensive examination of water movement as well as the movement of various pollutants in the earth's subsurface. The multidisciplinary approach integrates earth science, fluid mechanics, mathematics, statistics, and chemistry. Ideal for both professionals and students, this is a practical guide to the practices, procedures, and rules for dealing with groundwater.

Mathematical Modeling in Science and Engineering, Hardback (March 2012)
This text examines the axiomatic approach, a powerful, unified approach to mathematical and computational modeling in science and engineering. Readers will discover that this axiomatic approach enables them to both systematically construct effective models, and also apply these models to any macroscopic physical system.
Essentials of Multiphase Flow in Porous Media, Hardback (August 2008)
This book looks at the mathematical-physical rationale behind the equations that are currently used to describe the flow of fluid and transport of solutes in porous media. It presents a comprehensive approach to the development of appropriate equations without prior knowledge of continuum mechanics, mixture theory, or similar areas of expertise.
Groundwater Modeling Using Geographical Information Systems, Hardback (July 2002)
Modeling the occurrence and behaviour of groundwater is a critical aspect to any groundwater studies, whether they're being done to plan a clean-up project or in the preliminary site studies for a planned future development. This book defines what GIS is, how to perform it, and how to use GIS technology in modeling groundwater.
Numerical Solution of Partial Differential Equations in Science and Engineering, Paperback (July 1999)» View all books by George F. Pinder
From the reviews of Numerical Solution of Partial Differential Equations in Science and Engineering: "The book by Lapidus and Pinder is a very comprehensive, even exhaustive, survey of the subject... [It] is unique in that it covers equally finite difference and finite element methods. "-Burrelle's.
