Author Biography - Peter Carravetta

Peter Carravetta is Alfonse M. DAmato Professor of Italian and Italian American Studies at Stony Brook University (NY). He has published five books in critical theory, including The Elusive Hermes. Method, Discourse, Interpreting (Davies Group Publishing, 2013) and translated Martino Obertos Anaphilosophia (Campanotto, 1993) and Vattimo & Rovattis Weak Thought (SUNY P, 2012). He has written seven books of poetry, including Existenz (Adams Press, 1976), delle voci (Anterem, 1980), The Sun and Other Things (Guernica, 1998), and Linfinito (Campanotto, 2013). He is presently working on a novel
