Swan Song by John Galsworthy
Book DescriptionJon Forsyte is back. After years living in America with his mother Irene, he is excited to be home and can't wait to show off his roots to his new bride. When Fleur Forsyte, now Fleur Mont, his first love, hears of his arrival, she doesn't know what to feel. She's married too, though, with a little boy so there's no reason why they all can't meet as friends. But feelings so strong are not easily contained. And when their passion is rekindled, no one can halt the devastating events that follow - the secret culmination of an old, old story...

Books By Author John Galsworthy
Island Pharisees, Paperback (July 2010)
Galsworthy's first novel was also the one he came to define as his most important, and it set the template in style and content for all his subsequent work. Galsworthy wrote the novel as a wide-ranged traveller returned home, prepared to confront the entrenched and self-serving moneyed elite.
Forsyte Saga, Paperback (July 2008)
The three novels which make up The Forsyte Saga chronicle the ebbing social power of the commerical upper-middle class Forsyte family between 1886 and 1920. This, the only critical edition of Galsworthy's popular masterpiece, contains detailed notes which are vital to the saga, explaining particularly the contemporary artistic and literary allusions, and slang of the time.
Dark Flower, Paperback (May 2008)
Within a dozen pages, Galsworthy establishes his mastery of compelling narrative and sketches an irresistible plot. It is the kind of book one can devour in a single day. Much of Galsworthy s achievement lies in the mixture of pathos and humour which he derives from characters little able to express their feelings.
Flowering Wilderness, Paperback (November 2007)» View all books by John Galsworthy
A stirring and compulsive story that pits family and a dark past against the passions of ardent love
