Yves Clerc by Pascal Bonafoux

Book Description

This is a subtle interpretation of well-known portraits borrowed from art history. Yves Clerc was born on November 5th 1947. He took his first step in the world of the image through photography. Then, from 1967 to 1973 he studied sciences while going through an artistic training aimed at drawing. He published his first illustrations in medical journals. At the same time, he discovered theater and actively participated in the Nancy Theater Festival which determined his present thematic direction. From 1974 to 1976, Yves Clerc followed courses at Ecole des arts appliques (applied arts school) and continue to draw illustrations around text for various journals: "Pariscope" (Parisian events weekly), "Autrement" (intellectual development quarterly review)...Faithful to his dual calling, he continued with graduate studies from 1978 to 1981 at Paris-VII University. For three years he frequented Zeimert's studio and starting in 1985 participated in numerous personal exhibitions and collective ones: Anvers, Bordeaux, Nice, Paris, Pise, Saint-Petersbourg, and Santander.

Rodin & Eros by Pascal Bonafoux Rodin & Eros, Hardback (February 2013)

The theme of the erotic is ever present in the work of Auguste Rodin, both in his sculptures and in his many drawings. Taking a chronological path through Rodins life, this book offers an intimate approach to the many faces of sex and sensuality in his body of work and in the society within which his art was forged.

Behind the Scenes in Versailles by Pascal Bonafoux Behind the Scenes in Versailles, Paperback (September 2010)

Real-life behind the scenes footage of one of the most visited monuments in the world. Most of the photographs in this book have never been published before as the photographer was granted access to parts of the chateau that the public is not allowed into.

Edges by Pascal Bonafoux Edges, Hardback (March 1996)

This photographic collection provides a vision of city life, caught by the camera in moments as fleeting as the flicker from a TV screen. It features many other images including shots of the streets, the park, the metro and shopping malls, drawing out a sense of unease about contemporary life.
