Schwartz says that early figures stand at around 35,000 copies sold over the weekend, with the title, the third in Paolini's ‘Inheritance', still selling strongly. ‘On Saturday afternoon alone the sales were around 20,000,' said Schwartz, adding that many booksellers contributed to the success by creating a celebration or event around the Saturday 2pm launch, which heightened local anticipation.
Paolini's ‘Inheritance' series will continue with a fourth and final title, the release date of which is yet to be announced.
