CBCA Book Week kicks off

The 2008 CBCA Children's Book Week kicked off last week with the announcement of the CBCA Book of the Year award winners.

The 2008 CBCA Children's Book Week kicked off last week with the announcement of the CBCA Book of the Year award winners. The theme of this year's Week is ‘Fuel Your Mind' and events under this theme will run around the country until 22 August. The purpose of the 63rd Book Week is for schools and libraries to celebrate Australian authors, illustrators, and books. Librarians and teachers highlight the importance of reading in relation to the theme by reading stories, offering competitions, and developing activities.
