De Niro's Game by Lebanese author Rawi Hage (Picador) is the winner of this year's International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. With prize money of €100,000 (A$165,000) the IMPAC award is the world's richest prize for a work of fiction. The award's judges described Hage's novel about friends who have grown up in war-torn Beirut as ‘an eloquent, forthright and at times beautifully written' first novel.
