Harry Potter movie release delayed

Warner Bros. Pictures, the studio producing the Harry Potter films, has announced a postponed release date for Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince

Published 21 August, 2008

Warner Bros. Pictures, the studio producing the Harry Potter films, has announced a postponed release date for Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince, which will now be released on 17 July 2009, rather than November 2008. Warner Bros. president Alan Horn said the decision was both a result of the recent US writers' strike and the studio's wish to release the film during the US summer. Horn said the date-change would not affect the release of the two-part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the first of which is tentatively scheduled for release in November 2010.
