Inaugural Text Young Adult prize shortlist announcedText Publishing has announced the shortlisted titles in its new Young Adult Writing Prize.Published 21 August, 2008 Text Publishing has announced the shortlisted titles in its new Young Adult Writing Prize. ‘The inaugural Text Publishing Young Adult Writing Prize has been an outstanding success,' Text spokesperson Sarina Gale told WBN. ‘Some 300 entries were received, and the Text editorial team had a fun but challenging couple of weeks reading and debating the books, which ranged from science-fiction and self-help, to classic coming-of-age novels.' The titles shortlisted for the $10,000 prize are:
The winner will be announced at the Melbourne Writers' Festival on Saturday 30 August.
