A story in the Australian newspaper claims that there may be factual errors in A Long Way Gone, the bestselling memoir by Ishmael Beah (Fiourth Estate). In the book, Beah writes that he was forced into becoming a child soldier in Sierra Leone at the age of 12; however, the Australian claims that significant events he refers to happened up to two years after he says they did.
