The nature photographer and publisher Steve Parish has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honours list.
Parish, who specialises in photography and books detailing Australia's wildlife, said he was honoured to have been awarded the medal ‘for contribution to the Australian publishing industry through nature photography' and pledged to continue to bring the story of Australian nature to the world, so people will be inspired to champion its protection.
