Tara June Winch to be mentored by Nobel laureate

Author Tara June Winch (Swallow the Air, UQP) has been selected for a year-long mentoring program through the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative.

Author Tara June Winch (Swallow the Air, UQP) has been selected for a year-long mentoring program through the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative. Under the program she will be mentored by Nigerian author, poet and playwright Wole Soyinka, a UNESCO goodwill ambassador who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1986. Winch was nominated for the mentorship by fellow Australian author Julia Leigh, who was mentored by Toni Morrison, also as part of the program.
