The program for Tasmanian arts festival Ten Days on the Island, which runs from 27 March to 5 April, was launched yesterday.
The festival, which encompasses all art forms, will include a literary component consisting of a series of panels, readings and discussions leading up to the announcement of the Tasmania Book Prize (see the shortlist here).
There is also a large theatre component, including new works as part of The National Play Festival, and Metamorphosis--described as ‘an explosive new version of Franz Kafka's short story'. It is brought to life by Iceland's Gisli Örn Gardasson and Britain's David Farr, and features a soundtrack by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.
