Jeanette Winterson is trying her hand at science fiction as she travels to outer space in her new novel The Stone Gods. The book is 'an interplanetary love story' between Spike and Billie set years in the future. There is a much talk of a new blue planet that has been discovered and proven to be suitable for humans to live on. The discovery comes at a good time: Earth's resources have been greatly diminished by 'un-green' activity and it's time for a fresh start.
