Book Review: Amazing Monster Detectoscope by Graeme Base - Reviewed by (01 Feb 2018)

This is a unique book that would make a great addition to any book collection. It uses an unusual paper engineering technique to reveal a different set of monsters on each double page spread (probably not ideal for young readers who may get scared after reading this book). Although quite sturdy, I did wonder how long copies of this book would last in a library or somewhere where it was being passed through many, sometimes quite clumsy hands. As the pictures are quite detailed and require close inspection, it not ideal for group readings however, but would make a fantastic gift for any book lover.
