Book Review: Big Blue Train by Julia Jarman - Reviewed by JoKin (21 Sep 2011)
This is the second in the series by Jarman & Reynolds, and the formula improves in this story. Huffa Puffa Chuffa Luffa the train steams off around the landscapes of the world to pick up passengers for the party. It is much like the first book, Big Red Bath, but the onomatopaea here is stronger and the plot more relatable. It will be an instant hit on the book shelf. This is not one to get from the library, it is most definitely a book to buy. It will appeal to children from 18 months to 6 years, and (for younger readers) to the adult reading it to them!
