Blackmail in London high society leads Alleyn (of Artists In Crime) to investigate. Blackmail leads to murder when a man working on the inside finds out too much. Family secrets are unearthed - Alleyn and Troy (of the earlier book) bring their romance to a successful finis - the culprits are brought to justice. Pleasant reading - quiet English type of story, with authentic touch to background. (Kirkus Reviews)
