Book Review: Boy in the Dress by David Walliams - Reviewed by Sheepcoate (20 Jan 2013)
The Boy in the Dress was David Walliams debut novel. While maybe not as polished as his later novels it was definitely absorbing and entertaining.
Dennis lives at home with his Father and Brother, he befriends a girl at school, Lisa, they soon strike up a common loves of dresses. Before you know it Dennis is wearing a Dress.
There are a number of amusing situations that Dennis finds himself in and like most kids books, this story doesn’t waste time getting straight to the action. A number of accompanying illustrations from the famous author Quentin Blake through this book. Recommended to any young child or adult.
