Book Review: One Foot in the Grave by Jeaniene Frost - Reviewed by TJW (03 Aug 2011)
This book was fantastic! It has been a while since I read Halfway to the Grave and as soon as I started reading the second installment I remembered how much I fell in love with the series months ago.
The book fast forwards 4 years after Cat left Bones to work for the Government leading a specialised team in killing vampires. Cat is still really hung up on Bones and hasn't heard a thing from him since she left, though a chance meet up at her best friends wedding saw Bones come back into her life.
As a result of being kick-ass at her job, Cat is now known as the "Red Reaper" in the underworld and someone is trying to have her killed. This forces Bones and Cat back together to work to stop a collector of unique items from trapping her and stopping the person who is organising hits against her life.
The whole start of the book I was just hanging out to hear about Bones, god damm he is sexy! I really really enjoyed this book, usually I don't enjoy the second book in a series as much as the first but this was not a let down. Oh and on the hot topic of Chapter 32, I usually consider myself a bit prudish but I didn't mind Chapter 32 one bit (though I can see how some people may want to just skim this chapter if you aren't into the R+++ Rated scenes)
