Book Review: Brukner & Khan's Clinical Sports Medicine by Peter Brukner - Reviewed by (06 Jan 2017)

This book was prescribed as part of my physiotherapy degree. It is the physiotherapy equivalent of the Bible (as my lecturers would say) and I am so glad I purchased it. The large range of topics covered is very helpful and makes it a one-stop-shop for musculoskeletal injuries. It's strength lies with differential diagnoses and thorough explanation and information on the presenting signs and symptoms and mechanisms of injury. The sections on management and treatment of injuries are always brief and sometimes non-specific, and should be taken as a starting point for further research rather than a comprehensive review of management options for injuries. I would highly recommend this book for physiotherapy students, and for physiotherapists (who may or may not already own a copy of an older edition).
