Book Reviews - The Justice Game by Geoffrey Robertson

UK Kirkus Review » The celebrated barrister Geoffrey Robertson QC has been involved in some of the most high-profile cases ever to come to a British courtroom. Here, with a combination of wit and gravity, pace and narrative style, he recounts some of the major cases that have come to the national consciousness, including the highly amusing 'Oz' trial, Mary Whitehouse's battle against the play The Romans in Britain, and the attempts by the parents of soldiers caught in friendly fire in the Gulf War to find justice. Throughout his career, Robertson has fought for people's rights in the face of the state system and his many struggles have included helping Vaclev Havel in communist Czechoslovakia and Malcolm X on death row. Enlightening and enjoyable, this is a fascinating insight into the legal world by one of its finest and most dedicated practitioners. (Kirkus UK)
