UK Kirkus Review » Carle's first ever picture book whose success encouraged him to create The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Carle's magical collages dominate each double page spread, whilst repetition, rhythm and rhyme teach young children colours and animals. A fun book to share with your child. Book Review: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Eric Carle - Reviewed by (27 Jul 2011)

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see was purchased for my two year old by a family member. Having never read the story I was interested to see what was so good about this well known picture book.

The book has a simple easy to follow storyline that allows young children to become engaged and helps them to learn to read.

As the story is easy to remember with a repetitive nature, children from a young age will be able to read along and also learn animal recognition.

My daughter often sat by herself reading the story for all to hear.
