Dr Igor Aronson Staff Scientist at the Material Science Division, Argonne National Laboratory, Illinois Staff Scientist at the Material Science Division, Argonne National Laboratory, Illinois, since 1996. Igor Aranson graduated from the Gorky State University, Russia, in 1982, and obtained a Ph.D in Physics and Mathematics in 1987. Igor Aranson worked in various areas, from pattern formation, reaction-diffusion systems, to superconductivity, granular materials, and biophysics. He published more than 120 research papers and several book chapters. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society. Dr Lev Tsimring Research Scientist at the Institute for Nonlinear Science, University of California, San Diego Research Scientist at the Institute for Nonlinear Science, University of California, San Diego Lev Tsimring received his Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Oceanology in 1985. Until 1991 his work was focused on fluid dynamics and the theory of internal and surface waves in the ocean. Since then he has been working in several fields of nonlinear dynamics, including pattern formation, chaos theory, nonlinear time series analysis, and biophysics. He has published more than 120 research papers and edited a book on applications of nonlinear dynamics in communications. He also holds several patents. Since 1992 L.S. Tsimring resides in San Diego, USA.
