Description - Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer

Eating Animals is a riveting expose which presents the gut-wrenching truth about the price paid by the environment, the government, the Third World and the animals themselves in order to put meat on our tables more quickly and conveniently than ever before. Informative, rational, convincing and entertaining, Eating Animals is a first-person account of an intellectual journey and a fresh and open look at the ethical debate around meat-eating. It also explores the possibilities for those who do eat meat to do so more responsibly, making this an important book not just for vegetarians, but for anyone who is concerned about the ramifications and significance of their chosen lifestyle.

Book Review: Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer - Reviewed by (08 Jun 2013)

Eating animals is a very thought provoking book. What was good about this book is that it covers both sides to the argument, being vegetarian and of course eating animals.

The book is very well researched and is packed full of interesting factual information and stories. Some of the things you will hear are quite shocking and disturbing, but that’s what the book is about, opening your eyes to how animals are processed and how the meat ends up on your plate. Even if you are not a vegetarian, this book has something for everyone. The book is simply laid you and easy to read, recommended.
