Author Biography - Herman Wouk
Zionist historian and best selling novelist, Herman Wouk was born to Russian immigrants in New York in 1915. He was educated at Columbia University and went on to write for radio. Later, he served in the navy in the Second World War and his novel based on those experiences, The Caine Mutiny, won him the Pulitzer Prize. Many of his noves went on to become major film and television adaptations. Wouk is now retired and lives in Palm Springs, USA.
