Book Review: Under the Dome by Stephen King - Reviewed by (22 Jun 2011)

When I first picked up "Under the Dome" I was a little dubious as to whether I would like it or not. However, being Steven King and therefore an author who I have read numerous times before, I decided to give it a go.

Thank goodness that I did!

Under the Dome will suck you in. It is a rather large read, but do not be intimidated; be excited. There is not a single dull page.

The characters will keep you on your toes, and the final twist will blow your mind. The concept behind this novel is fantastic. It opens your mind to the possibility of how you and others would act in such a dire situation as described in the novel, and is startlingly comprehensible. The fundamental idea, revealed in the final chapters, leaves much food for thought.

An absolute must read not only for King fans, but for anyone looking for something a bit different and infinitely exciting.

Book Review: Under the Dome by Stephen King - Reviewed by (24 May 2011)

This novel is one of a kind; everyone should absolutely pick it up, buy it, read it and remember it for ever. Stephen King has truly out done himself with this novel, creating a tale that continually keeps the reader hooked and loving it, with intricate characters and scenarios that (although fiction) can lead a responder into thinking about their own lives and the things they have done in order to survive or stay on top. This is a book that everyone has to go out and read, and understand the lengths that a person will go to in order to survive something that may or may not in actual fact happen, but if it does at least people who have read this book will be prepared in the likely hood of an event like this.
