A general introduction outlines the approach, organization, and differnet perspectives of the collection. Up-to-date and fully international, the Reader foregrounds some of the most challenging questions for future developments in English language teaching worldwide. Topics include : the internationalization of English; the status of the non-native English teacher; the recognition of language variation; the debate on standard versus non-standard varieties.
