Author Biography - Steve New
Steve New is Lecturer in the Said Business School at the University of Oxford, UK, and a Fellow of Hertford College. His first degree (in physics) was at Southampton University, where he combined study with initial engineering training at Rolls Royce PLC, winning the Lombard Award in 1986. His doctoral studies at Manchester Business School entailed working with Eaton Limited. For five years he was a lecturer at UMIST's School of Management. He has won the Fellowship of the Operations Management Association (UK) 1993-4 for work in Purchasing and Supply. Co-editor of Understanding Supply Chains: Concepts, Critiques and Futures, he is also on the editorial review board of Supply Chain Management: An International Journal.
