Caroline Brettell is Dedman Family Distinguished Professor of Anthropology at Southern Methodist University and Dean ad Interim of Dedman College. James F. Hollifield is Arnold Professor of International Political Economy and Director of the Tower Center for Political Studies at Southern Methodist University.
