Henri Stierlin is a renowned French architectural historian. Among his other books are two titles in Thames & Hudson's Unfolding History series, Castles, Fortresses and Citadels and Great Monuments of the Ancient World, and the large-format Islamic Art and Architecture: From Isfahan to the Taj Mahal, also published by Thames & Hudson.
