Author Biography - Steve Voake

Steve Voake grew up in Midsomer Norton, near Bath. After leaving school he sold ice-creams in the south of France for a while and once spent a memorable summer travelling across America, where much of The Starlight Conspiracy is set. Before becoming a full time writer, Steve was headteacher of a village school in Somerset. In order to find time to write his first novel, The Dreamwalker's Child, he used to get up at 3 a.m. and work for several hours before anyone else was awake. He lives with his family in Somerset.
