Book Review: Five Chinese Brothers by Claire Huchet Bishop - Reviewed by (09 Jun 2013)

The Five Chinese Brothers is apparently a classic retelling for a old Chinese story.

I read this to my 4 year old but it probably wasn't really an age appropriate book. The story is about five brothers and each of them has there own unique ability. Following a accident, one of the Chinese brothers are sentenced to death. This is where there individual abilities come into play. The story is somewhat predictable and repetitive.

Overall quite entertaining for more suitable for the 7-8 year old. The illustrations are simple and straight to the point and compliment the story nicely.
