This what not a book I would have imagined I would ever want to read but after a friend lent it to me I picked it up one day when I was home from work sick. Oh my goodness - what a fabulous book! After reading just one chapter I was out of bed and into my junk room chucking out stuff as fast as I could and I have been progressively working my way through my house 'decluttering' ever since.
As soon as you realise decluttering is all about shifting 'stuck' energies it's immediately something you want to do.
This little book is a very quick, compulsive read, sprinkled with loads of inspirational stories of decluttering outcomes that really get you thinking about all the junk we surround our lives with.
It provides very practical advice for dealing with all manner of clutter - large and small, old and new, even heirloom and sentimental items, which you might have thought would be hard to part with. Yes you really can let your clutter go, or pass it on or at least reduce the amount of it - and feel lighter and happier as a result.
After sorting through the two big boxes of family photos I've been lugging around for twenty odd years I've contacted and reconnected with some old friends, one of whom I hope to visit soon.
Recently I bought two copies of this book to give to close friends. Both recipients have been equally as inspired. One likes the idea that decluttering might help her lose weight and the other has found some wealth coming her way as a result. It's a magic little book!
