Description - The World of Minack by Derek Tangye
Reflecting the years the author spent at Minack in Cornwall with his wife, before she died in 1986, this book contains a selection of favourite passages, many of them chosen by readers, from 16 of the "Minack Chronicles". It highlights significant thoughts and incidents in the Minack story - the first discovery of the small grey cottage on the cliff that was to become the Tangyes' home, disasters suffered and hazards overcome in the struggle to earn a living from the potato and flower farm, the cats and donkeys who were so integral a part of the Tangyes' lives, the vicissitudes of the season, and calm moments of reflection by the cliffs and the rocks and the sea.
