Snowflakes are temporary works of art, tiny crystaline masterpieces, each as different from the next as one person is from another. This guide is an introduction to the art and science of the snowflake, entertaining and informative. It describes where to find which patterns, and what can be learned from them. It is illustrated by Libbrecht own photomicrographs of real snowflakes.
