Book Review: I Know an Old Teacher by Anne Bowen - Reviewed by Sheepcoate (24 Oct 2013)
I Know an Old Teacher is a variation on the original poem / song.
When you start reading this story it is a little disturbing, although I guess some people might find it amusing. Unlike the original this lady did not swallow a fly, she swallowed a flea and just like the original the story goes on, until she swallows a snake which goes down just like chocolate milkshake.
The illustrations are colorful and nicely drawn, quite detailed considering the nature. It is one of those book you will either love or hate or give you nightmares of bizarre food groups.
