Construction-equipment loving boys will adore this humourous twist on the classic nursery rhyme. Someone has done a lot of work building a house. Someone has been operating a cement mixer, driving a bulldozer, and using a forklift to build walls, frame windows, and nail down a roof. Someone has built a big, strong home for Jack. But is this the house that Jack built? One tired puppy dog disagrees in this story about getting what you work for.

Book Review: Jack's House by Karen Magnuson Beil - Reviewed by Sheepcoate (26 Sep 2013)
Jack's House is a cute book all about building a house.
When Jack wants a house build he has to go through the process, such as getting the material, organizing the dump truck and then banging in the nails and of course putting up the roof. The book is also somewhat educational showing us all the steps which are involved in building a house but in a fun manner.
The illustrations are excellent and compliment the story the nicely, they are colorful and detailed and there is more than enough to keep the young reader entertained and hopefully guide them into the building industry.
