Author Biography - Martin Hintz

Author Martin Hintz is a longtime Wisconsin resident who brings to life the history, terrain, flora, and fauna of each area. And his descriptions of nearby recreational and sightseeing destinations ensure that you won't miss anything on your trip.Whether you live in Wisconsin or are just visiting, there's no better way to discover the natural beauty of the state than with Hiking Wisconsin. Martin Hintz is a professional travel writer who has lived in Wisconsin for nearly 30 years. He has written and been a contributing author to more than 40 books, including several cultural geographies and guides to midwestern states. His books in print include Off the Beaten Path: Wisconsin, Wisconsin Family Adventure Guide, and Great National Park Vacations. A prolific writer of travel articles, Hintz has had work featured in such publications as Midwest Living, Home & Away, Milwaukee Journal, the Chicago Tribune, and Midwest Express Magazine.
